This is your White County, Indiana Research Home!White County was officially chartered on February 1, 1834 with the County seat in Monticello. Before this time the territory was under the jurisdiction of Carroll County. Towns then and now of White County include:

before December of 1840 to be Pioneer status eligible. We encourage
all eligible families to apply.
